🏒 Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey - Day 2 Recap

Holy shootout, Cat Woman!

If you weren’t locked in on women’s hockey Friday, you missed a LOT! Black Rosie Media was on hand for Switzerland vs Czechia, and what a game it was!

We’ll get to that soon, including EXCLUSIVE audio for our paid subscribers. FIRST, here is a reminder of the February 7 schedule.

Both France & Czechia were coming off back-to-back games. Unfortunately, it might have been a factor.

After a scoreless opening frame, Japan got onthe board first.

Shortly after Rui Ukita’s opening goal, French forward Lure Baudrit scored the equalizer. Smile Japan got two more goals by Makoto Ito and the ultimate game-winner by Suzuka Maeda.

Gabrielle Serres recorded the second goal for team France in its 3-2 loss to Japan.

Sí, WEY

As Preston Huntington noted on our livestream Thursday, that likely meant we’d see Micheala Hesova in net.

Team Czechia played well for most of the game, but they blew a late third-period lead and headed to overtime against Switzerland. Recently minted (her birthday was February 4th) 20-year-old Ivana Wey scored in the EIGHTH ROUND of the shootout.
