The first games of the Women’s Ice Hockey Tournament are in the books!
The host nation, Italy, snagged its first win, as did Sweden and the United States. Black Rosie Media was on hand for the USAzCZE game, which turned out to be the last of the night.

The CANvFIN game was postponed after several Finnish players contracted the norovirus.

"The decision was taken following consultations with medical professionals after cases of norovirus were identified within Team Finland.
"It was made collectively and in accordance with established health and safety principles, with the health and well-being of players, team staff, officials, and all tournament participants as the highest priority."
The Canada vs. Finland preliminary game is rescheduled to February 12.
